I’ve just gotten home and I’m buzzing.

Richard kissed me!

I know it’s late except I am not going to be able to sleep for a while yet.  Time for a cup of tea….

So, I woke up after 10 this morning.  Clearly the events of the last few days had taken their toll. Then while I was making my breakfast, a courier arrived for me with flowers from Richard.  I was initially quite puzzled, then realised, that it was February 14, Valentine’s Day.

They were (are) gorgeous.  I can’t remember the last time someone gave me flowers for Valentine’s.

Anyway the next thing he’s ringing me to find out if I’d gotten them and asking me if I had plans for the day.  Hmmm let me think restocking my fridge or going to the beach on a gorgeous day with an interesting man? Umm I think I’ll go and get groceries. NOT!

It took me ages to get ready.  In the end I went with a gorgeous floaty summer dress, flats and a hat.  Glamorous yet understated.

He came over just before lunchtime and we headed to Manly for a day at the beach.  It was really busy at the Wine Bar so we got an ice-cream and walked to Shelly Beach and back.  By the time we got back the crowd had thinned out a little and we didn’t have to wait long for a table.

We spent hours there, eating, drinking, laughing, talking and watching the world go by.  By the time it was dark, we had polished off a couple of bottles of wine and Richard suggested we go to the Boat Shed for some live music and dancing.  The man can dance.  So dance we did.  Until the lights came on.  I hadn’t had that much fun in ages.

The ferry had stopped by the time we left the dance floor so we caught a cab back to mine, and Richard walked me to the door, while the taxi waited.  Such a gentleman.  And then he kissed me.

I meeting him for coffee tomorrow. I’m really not sure I will get any sleep this evening.
